Alfred Wainwright Books & Memorabilia

This group on Facebook now has over eleven thousand members who, like Chris, are passionate about Wainwright and his work. Their collective passion has created a thriving community for sharing knowledge and stories about Wainwright, his books and memorabilia.  Chris also generously holds regular giveaways of any surplus items acquired while sourcing his archive!  According to Facebook, the group enjoys an 80% active participation rating, and as well as the UK, it has members in the United States, Australia, Canada, Spain, Netherlands, Isle of Man, Germany, Ireland and India. 

Chris launched this website to create a comprehensive resource covering Wainwright’s book-related publishing and printing history. It includes contributions from other luminaries in the Wainwright world and a shop that sells rare and difficult to source Wainwright items.

Chris uses Twitter to share highlights of his journey to discover and champion all things Wainwright. He has said that each time he unearths a new artefact, fact or story, it feels like his journey is still only beginning. So he won't run out of things to tweet any time soon!
